1. Located on the mainland between Phuket, Krabi and Koh Samui, Coso National Park is the most popular destination in southern Thailand. Close contact with elephants, jungle hiking and canoeing will give you an unforgettable experience.
Coso National Park, founded in 1980, is the 22nd national park in Thailand. The park consists of dense tropical rainforests, waterfalls, majestic limestone cliffs and an island lake.
You can take part in many activities during your trip to Cosau National Park. In addition to walking through the jungle, you can explore Coso through waterways and venture into many channels and mangrove swamps in canoes or kayaks.
One of the most interesting areas is the beautiful Cheow Larn Lake in the centre of the national park, where floating raft houses and luxury tents are not to be missed! The amazing Lake Cheow Larn was built in 1982 as part of a dam project to provide hydropower for southern Thailand.
The lake stretches over 165 square kilometres, with huge limestone peaks protruding from its surface.
2. Surin Islands Mu Ko Surin National Park.
Antong Islands National Park, located in the Gulf of Thailand, is a marine national park composed of 42 island groups. The best way to visit Ocean National Park is to take a sea tour or rent a personal boat.
Speedboats and kayaks are very popular. There are many places for snorkelling and scuba diving. If you want to stay for one night or more, you can rent a tent or cabin. Many islands have beautiful white sandy beaches, while others have mountains.
You can hike on the top of the island and enjoy the magnificent scenery. In addition to all kinds of marine life, you can also see monkeys, otters, wild boars, black leaf monkeys and macaques on the island.
3. Erawan National Park.
Erawan National Park is located in Beibi Prefecture in western Thailand. One of the main attractions of the national park is Erawan Falls, a seventh-step waterfall named after an elephant in Indian mythology. You can climb the waterfall and bathe in the pool.
There are several caves to explore in this national park. The easiest way to get to the national park is by bus from Beibi Mansion, which takes about an hour and a half by car. Many buses are going back and forth every day, so it is quite easy to arrange a day trip.
If you want to stay in Erawan National Park for more than one day, you can camp here or rent a cabin for the night.
