Laundry is an essential task in housekeeping, but it can also be a challenging one. In the past, it relied heavily on manual labor, but with the advent of washing machines, it has become more convenient and less strenuous.

However, some people still prefer hand washing to machine washing, feeling that clothes are not as clean when washed in a machine. Whether hand washing or machine washing, the goal is the same: to get clothes as clean as possible. Here are some tips to help you achieve this goal.

Hand Washing:

Soak the clothes in warm water before washing. This will only take a few minutes and will help to loosen any dirt or dust that may be on the clothes.

Pour out the dirty water and refill the basin with clean water. Add detergent to the water and let the clothes soak for about 30 minutes to allow the stain to dissolve.

Sort the clothes according to their level of cleanliness, washing the cleaner clothes first, and then the dirtier clothes.

Rinse the clothes thoroughly after washing to remove any residue from the detergent or soap.

Machine Washing:

Familiarize yourself with the operation of the washing machine. Before using the machine, carefully read the instructions and follow the requirements in the manual to ensure the machine is operated properly and the clothes are cleaned.

Use the right amount of detergent. More detergent does not necessarily mean cleaner clothes. The amount used should be based on the type of clothes being washed and their level of dirtiness.

Remove any hard ornaments or objects from the clothes before washing them. This will prevent damage to the machine and other clothes during the washing cycle.

Empty the pockets of your clothes and pants. This will prevent losing small items or having residue from items in the pockets transferring to other clothes during washing.

Dry the clothes immediately after washing them. The cabin of the washing machine is airtight, and if the clothes are left inside for an extended period, they may start to smell and grow moldy.

Do not mix clothes that fade easily with white or easily dyed clothes. Doing so can result in the clothes becoming discolored.

Whether hand washing or machine washing, taking the time to follow these tips will help ensure clean clothes every time.
