Tucked away in the Great Atlas Mountains is the pink town of Kyra, which also bears the beautiful name of Rose Valley. Every May, the town holds a rose festival where pink rose petals surround the town and the air is filled with the sweet scent of roses.

Many of the town's buildings are painted pink, too.

1. La Muralla Roja, have you ever played the game Monument Valley? This is a realistic version! The Red Wall is located in the small Spanish seaside town of Calpe, about 2 hours drive from Valencia. It was designed by Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill 40 years ago as a real estate project and still looks futuristic today.

Calpe is a place that hardly appears on any tourist guides, but holds a special place in the hearts of architecture lovers. Everyone goes for the red walls, marvelling at the different shades and the amazing mix of pinks, purples and blues, as well as the shapes of the buildings inspired by traditional North African castles.

2. Crested Butte Stables and House, this pink house is one of the works of Louis Barragán, one of Mexico's national architectural treasures. His architecture focuses on vivid colours, geometric textures and minimalist structures, with many of his works featuring large blocks of intense colour.

The residence and studio, built by Barragán himself, was named a World Heritage Site in 2004. Located on the outskirts of Mexico City, the house was built in the 1960s, with a long wall dividing the building into two parts, one a stable with a huge pool for the horses to drink from and a barn painted pink, and the other a place for people to live.

The architects have used an extremely emotional and surreal architectural language to give the whole house a beautiful, serene and poetic display.

3.The Putrajaya Mosque, located in Putrajaya (also known as Prince Edward), the administrative capital of Malaysia, took two years to build and was completed in 1999 at a total cost of RM250 million.

The building is naturally quite beautiful, built in a soft and elegant rose-coloured marble throughout, making it a veritable pink mosque.
