Peacock opening is a courtship behavior made by male peacocks to attract female peacocks.

This behavior is the effect of sex hormones secreted by the animal's own gonads.

When the animal grows and develops to a certain period, it must reproduce with its own offspring to continue its race.

In addition, when it encounters an enemy but has no time to escape, the peacock will suddenly open its screen.

Then shake its feathers, which are scattered with many approximately circular "eye spots".

Composed of blue, brown, yellow, red and other colors, many eye-like spots move around, and the enemy is afraid of this "multi-eyed monster", so they will not rush forward.

Peacocks have their own habits:

1. Joyful, afraid of surprise

Peacocks like a quiet and comfortable living environment.

All kinds of noise and interference from other animals, such as dogs, will affect the growth and development of peacocks and reduce their egg production and fertilization rate.

2. Flyability

Although the peacock is very large and weighs about 5 kilograms on average, its flying ability is very strong.

3. Omnivorous

Peacocks are omnivorous for roughage, and the seeds, eggs, and insects of grasses and beans are widely eaten.

Therefore, the combination of a variety of feeds can become a good diet.

4. Habitat

Peacocks like to perch on perches, day or night.

5. I like the shade and fear the rain

Peacocks like cool weather.

The weather is hot and the temperature is high, and the peacocks are rarely active.

On rainy days, the sports grounds accumulate water, and the sanitary conditions are not good, and the incidence of peacocks is high.

There are three types of peacocks: green peacocks, blue peacocks and hybrid white peacocks.

The way to distinguish blue peacocks from green peacocks is not to look at the color, but to look at the crown feathers and cheeks.

Green peacocks, whether male or female, are clustered crowns + yellow cheeks.

The blue peacock has a fan-shaped crown + white cheeks.

The white peacock is not a species.

Our common white peacock is the white variation of the blue peacock under artificial breeding.

"Albino", albino individuals cannot synthesize melanin due to abnormal tyrosinase, their iris is very light, and the eyes often show the red blood in the blood vessels of the fundus.

But because the melanocytes in the eyes do not originate from the embryonic neural crest, the color of the eyes of albinos is normal.

Peacock chicks grow very slowly.

The color of the first juvenile peacock is the same as that of the mother, and the male juvenile peacock has a brighter neck and can weigh up to 3000 grams.

The color of the second young peacock is similar to that of the parent, and the male juvenile peacock does not have a tail screen and can weigh up to 6000 grams.

In the third year, it grows the same feathers as its parents.
