Hey Lykkers! We recently had the chance to explore the vibrant downtown area of Indianapolis, and we can’t wait to share our adventures with you.

From historic landmarks to culinary delights, Indianapolis is bursting with charm and excitement.

Must-See Attractions

Our journey began at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the famous Indy 500. The speedway itself is open year-round, with guided tours available from 9 AM to 5 PM daily. Tickets for the tour are around $15, offering a fascinating glimpse into the world of racing and its rich history. We even got to peek into the garage area and check out some of the legendary cars up close!

Next on our itinerary was the Indiana State Museum, where we marveled at exhibits showcasing the state’s history and culture. The museum is open from 10 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and 10 AM to 7 PM on weekends. Admission is $14 for adults, and it’s well worth it for the immersive experience. We spent hours exploring, and the interactive displays kept us entertained!

Cozy Hotel Stay

After a day filled with exploration, we checked into the Omni Severin Hotel, a historic and luxurious stay right in downtown. The hotel combines elegance with comfort, and the location is unbeatable—just steps away from many attractions. Rooms start at around $200 per night, making it a splurge that’s worth every penny. We loved the plush bedding and the beautiful views of the city skyline.

Local Food Scene

No trip is complete without indulging in the local food scene! We started our culinary adventure at St. Elmo Steak House. The prices here are a bit higher, with entrées ranging from $35 to $60, but the quality is exceptional.

For something more casual, we stumbled upon Shapiro’s Delicatessen, where we enjoyed their famous corned sandwich. For just $12, we got a huge drink that was juicy and packed with flavor. The deli has a cozy vibe, perfect for a quick lunch between sightseeing.

As our trip came to an end, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for all the memories we made in Indianapolis Downtown.
