Admire the Matterhorn first thing in the morning at Zermatt. Those lucky enough to stay at the B&B have an unobstructed view of the entire Matterhorn.

Watching the bright sunshine fall from the top of the mountain to the foot of the mountain is a very healing thing; at the same time, it is a very will-testing task, because you need to get up early and not be lazy. Switzerland's summer has shot its first morning light at 5:30.

No one wants to just look at Matterhorn from afar!

(There are two high places near Matterhorn to watch it, Matterhorn glacier paradise and Gornergrat. They are two different peaks, if you plan to visit them in one go, you need to buy a ticket for Peak 2 Peak, not Matterhorn glacier paradise or Gornergrat Return ticket.

The scenery of the two hills is completely different. It is strongly recommended that you buy a ticket for Peak 2 Peak, first board the "Matterhorn glacier paradise" at an altitude of 3,883 meters, then transfer to Riffelberg, and then take the cog train to the Gornergrat at 3,089 meters.

You can then decide to descend on foot or take the cog train (included).

It's also a great option if you want to hike.

To walk on the five lakes, you must first go to the Zermatt ZBAG-zsb cable car station to take the funicular railway. The Zermatt ZBAG-zsb cable car station is not too far from the Zermatt Zermatt railway station, and it takes about 7 minutes to walk. You can choose to take the funicular railway to Sunnegga Station or Blauherd Station to start walking. If you want to walk through the five lakes completely, it is more suitable to sit at Blauherd Station and then slowly walk down. If you have little time, you can also choose the same way. Choose Stellisee and Leisee, which are close to the cable car station.

What you need to pay attention to is that when you choose to hike, the weather in summer or autumn is not too cold, and it is very comfortable to hike in the sun. Most of the walking distance is not difficult. Although the road is a gravel road, there is no problem of dust, and the slope is acceptable. If the ground is not snowed or icy when you visit, it is enough to wear ordinary sports shoes, but if it is autumn Afterwards, it may snow, so it is better to wear waterproof and snow-proof shoes at your own discretion.
